Pauri
Pauri can be termed as the gateway to the spendour of Garhwal. Forests of deodar and other mountainous trees, the trademark of Garhwal, enliven the ascent from Pauri . Everywhere you look up from in Pauri, you get a panoramic view of the central Himalayas.

Kuin Kaleshwar Mahadev: 3 km from the town , amidst forests of Burans is this temple . From here, the view of Pauri an Srinagar valleys are a sight to behold.
Laxminarayan Temple:
Near bus stand , it is the major worship place of the area.
Kharsu: Apples orchards, greenscapes and Himalayan views make Kharsu the perfect picnic spot.19 km from Pauri,Kharsu has a TRH and FRH for a comfortable stay.
Jwapa Devi: On the Pauri -Kotdwar road this is major worship centre. Every year on the occasion of Navratras special prayers are organised.
Deoprayag: 45 km from Pauri , Deoprayag is one of the prominent pilgrim centres of India . One of the Panch Prayags,the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagerathi rivers here is a refreshing sight.
Adwani: At 14 km, far from the madding crowd, Adwani is a tranquil picnic spot. Comfortable Forest Rest House is available.
Tarakund: Surrounded by majestic mountains,at 2200 m, Tarakund is a picturesque canvas. A refresing pond and an old temple highlight the stillness of time. There is a motorable road till Padani, which is 44 km from Pauri. From Padani, Tarakund is 5 km trek.
