Ramgarh
Rabindranath Tagore and Mahadevi Verma spent a long time in Ramgarh , which is on an altitude of 1784 m and is located 26 km from Nainital. It is also famous for its juicy fruits including apple,plum, appricot and peach .Besides Mahadevi Verma's house , the Aurobindo Ashram is anotheer place worth visiting at Ramgarh. The Arya Samaj and a school were established here by Narayan Swami . In summer, the jungles of Ramgarh or Chati Padampuri. From Dhanachuli one can go to Mukteshwar and Opkhallkanda and from Shahar Phatak to Jayanti, Almora, Momaula,Devidhura, Reetha Sahib, Khetikhan ,Lohaghat, Champawat and Mayawati. Driving from Ramgarh to Lohaghat-Champawat one sees the snow - covered Himalayan ranges throughout.

Mukteshwar(21 km): A beautiful Himalayan resort surrounded by fruit orchards. Bhimtal, Sattal and Naukuchiatal and Nainital are located close by. Bhowali and Jeolikot laden with fruit orchards are the perfect natural interlude.
